The recipes blog of www.directoalpaladar.com honored us with this article where a delicious recipe was prepared with our cider chorizo to cook in the microwave. Here we present the steps to take to taste this traditional product.
Of the two varieties that they sent me, chorizo a la cider and choricitos a la cider, I opted for the second ones, since they are what I usually do. These cider choricitos are presented in a transparent package of 320g vacuum packed and with a label in which we can read the product concerned, the brand and, very important, the instructions for its preparation in the microwave.
How to make cider chorizo in the microwave
The printed instructions to prepare the cider chorizo in the microwave are quite clear, although in my opinion we would have to introduce some improvements to make them perfect, because if we follow them to the letter we will not obtain the desired product:
Put the container directly in the microwave and put a plate on top to avoid dirtying it. I would add that you also have to put a plate underneath, that if not everything will also be stained.
Schedule 3 minutes at maximum power. The package will swell and open, making a normal noise. In my case, the container did not swell and opened until the fifth minute (my microwave only has 700W), so it would be advisable to indicate that it is important to swell and open to ensure a good cooking.
Once the process is finished, remove from the microwave and remove from the container and ready to consume. Here it would be necessary to emphasize: beware that it burns and drips oily greasy!
- The instructions also indicate that it can be used for barbecue or cooking in the traditional way, previously removing it from the container. Of course, for that, we almost make them homemade.
Degustation
Although you know that I love to try this type of precooked products, it is also true that I do not usually get your taste excited and I end up recommending the traditional recipe. However, today I’m going to make an exception, because these cider chorizos were delicious, and I almost managed to finish that succulent ration that was more like two.
They have an intense and slightly spicy flavor, but without being excessively strong or greasy – everything is not greasy that can be a chorizo, of course – so these sausages to the cider for microwaves of Cecinas Pablo are perfect to take as cover a day at home that we do not want to have too much work in the kitchen.
