This award for the star product of the house, awarded by The Guild of Fine Food, is the Oscar of Gastronomy.
The effort for innovation and quality of Cecinas Pablo has been rewarded with the gold medal for cecina of the company in the ‘Great Taste Award’, which is held annually in the United Kingdom. The award granted by The Guild of Fine Food is considered the Oscar of the gastronomy and comes to recognize, in this edition, the quality and the flavor of the star product of this house, the cecina. The company astorgana is already a veteran on the podium of the contest, and previously the award went to 2006 in beef jerky, while in the 2008 edition the winner was the pork loin of León and in 2013 the maragato chorizo.
The jerky is obtained by selecting the best parts of the beef leg, becoming the queen of Cecinas Pablo for which they have been recognized nationally and internationally.
In this search for excellence and continuous improvement, a few months ago the Cecina Pulida Origen Selección was commercialized. In addition, the award coincides with the launch of two new products of the company, the Crema de Cecina with Membrillo del Bierzo and the Cream of Chorizo de León.
Cecinas Pablo is already a company of family origin very consolidated. In figures, 2014 closed with a turnover of seven million euros and a staff of 40 workers.
